dravidian? If it says race in a history textbook then it is false. But in general hindu people are very good and accommodationg/adjusting type, thats the reason muslims and christians are in india and the conversion factories of churches are running a free run. Anybody seen any type of conversion efforts in Saudi Arabia? They will cut off your balls if you dare to do so there.. Trying to make people convert from the state religion Islam is punishable by death... Now lets look at India - you can easily play one against the other because of the thousands of small groups each different by race, caste, religion, language, etc. It is a interesting potpourri not found anywhere else... For example in America you cant play New jersey against new york - even in an interstate water dispute - but in India you can easily play Tamilnadu against Karnataka, Karnataka refuses water to T.N. and T.N. cuts off power supply to Karnataka, T.N. fights with Kerala on Mullai Periayr dam and Kerala steals underground water... there are n number of instances like this - inter state, inter caste, inter religion disputes.. our objective is NOT to unify the country that is not our job. We are here to amplify the differences as this kind of unique experiment is not available anywhere else. Right or wrong? I think all american dept of state members need to study the dynamics of indian politics for a rough first-hand experience .. americans are idiots anyway but this will be a good lesson for them

The followers of Hinduism are Hindus who are not limited to any particular race but came to be known by this name from the place of their origin - the banks of river Indus. Hinduism is not a race but the oldest religion on this earth adopted and followed by its followers as the way of life. This is the only religion which does not preach intolerance and conversion but tells to respect other religions and regards the whole world as its family - "Vasudhaiva kutumbakam". All the aspects of life have been studied and defined in various ages by the great thinkers (rishis)of this religion so that anyone desiring to achieve perfection and salvation from the cycle of birth and death (moksha) can do so by disciplining the body and soul. This religion tells to be kind not only to all the living beings but also to the inert things. It does not limit the existence of God to any form but defines him both as immense as well as tiny (sookshma) to be present in the entire vast universe as well as in the smallest things!

no race. the world's oldest religion from which every other religion has emerged. all other reeligions have originated from Hinduism. Every religion except Hinduism has a period of origination. Hinduism is right from the beginning of the universe.
The followers of Hinduism are Hindus who respect all other religions.
Hinduism is ONLY one religion in the world who does not believe in conversion. when christian and muslims are trying to convert poor hindus to their religion for money, Hinduism has never done so. It respects and shows path to all other.
