I mean I have never really paid attention to color until I started working at the job I have now. I mean I have worked with many different people, and I have never had a problem with anyone. I although had never worked with just one color being the majority. I went into the job with just the nervous feeling of learning a new job and being able to do the job well, not the ideal that I would have to try to win over the entire crew and be able to get along with them. They didn't wait not one second to make me feel like an outcast, and they clearly let me know that if it was left up to them I would be gone ASAP!!! In fact after the third night at training I was asked by one of them if I would be returning to work that following night or had I had enough??!!! I tried to return and try the method of kill them with kindness, and try to do more work than my share, but they only let me do all the work. I could do nothing to win over any respect.

i'm assuming u mean blacks racist against whts? i dont want any one to get mad because i am NOT racist at all. my best friend is black. but yes, it does exist. i am 5 months pregnant right now and i went to a prenatal visit and i was the only wht patient there. one of the black nurses there was being terribly mean to me and being sweet as pie to the black girls. it doesnt take a genius to see why. and she kept yelling at me for different reasons and here i was carrying a baby inside of me!!!!! she upset me so much i started crying and had no choice but to report her. she had no right being that cruel to me. but no one ever pays any attention to reverse racism. this experience didn't make me bitter, it only made me grow kinder.

YES!!! I have blond hair and blue eyes and have been cruelly treated by others for that, it always comes as a shock. Like they think I was privileged to pick out my heritage or something. But it made me a better person in a way, it showed me at a young age to not be prejudiced by how someone looks. When you're at work, do what you're doing, take the high ground, be kind and don't socialize at work. Keep your social and work life separate. When they see you continue to come and WORK, maybe they'll tire of it and move on to their next victim. Sooner or later they will realize they're being small minded jerks, maybe they'll have a stroke of guilt... Another thought; perhaps they're testing you to see if you retaliate in kind, therefore confirming their prejudice towards YOU. I have a mexican friend and when we first met he would say a lot of racial comments to see how I reacted to it, to see if I agreed with those kinds of rude comments. After awhile he realized that I don't think that way and we've been great friends for many years now. Just be your kind self and don't let them change you.

Yes it exists and is just as rampant as regular racism.

When I was in high school a black kid and a white kid got into a fight...had nothing to do with color but about a foul in a football game that was taken too far. News ended up coming to school saying that there was a outbreak of anti-African American violence . The school gave no punishment to the black kid while the white kid got suspended for one week and had to see the councilor about multiculturalism seminar

I definitely admire you. Don't be a quitter and I know you are not. It may take time but eventually if you can stand it will be worth the effort.
