I have a few memories from fairly young. I remember discussing with my Mum whether I was going to get a wee brother or wee sister. He is four years younger than me, so I must have been three or four at the time. I have vague memories of my Great Aunt's house with its secret stair. It was a back stair from the days when people had servants and was very steep so I wasn't supposed to use it. Needless to say I was drawn to it like a magnet. I think I would have been three. I remember watching the Apollo launches but not the moon landings on TV in black and white when I was about five.

The earliest thing I can remember is standing on a kitchen chair & playing with some toy boats or something. It was in an apartment we lived in until I was three, so I don't know exactly how old I am in this memory.

Sitting on the kitchen table helping my mum wash up and my eldest brother rushing in to tell me what school was like.

My last memory of that home was when I was 7 and in the scullery telling my friend that I was moving to a big house with a bathroom and hot water. (we only had a tin bath in those days). Hard times for my parents but good days for us children.

Mine is of me getting shouted at by this nasty old road sweep for knocking mud out of my garden onto the path when i was 2 or 3, i was making mud castle's and some fell out of my bucket. I can remember crying for ages and running to my mum. I later found out - when i was older - that my dad had gone out and threatened the wrong guy, but I've been assured that the message was passed on.

Pushing the pram with my baby brother in it. It went down the kerb and into the road in our cul-de-sac and the front wheels went down the drain cover. This caused the pram to flip over forwards and my baby bro to land in the road!

I got such a slap for that! I was almost 2 at the time. No wonder my brother is quite strange!!! (Not too much really, though I suspect he landed on his head!).

Secretly, I was quite glad it happened as I was (at the time) quite jealous of him! Lol!
