The best revenge is moving on.

Tell her it's time to start thinking about her, "not" him! Good riddance to bad rubbish as they say! She must be going through "hell"! You as a friend can be a big help to her, she needs your friendship now more than ever! She's given that so and so 30 yrs of her life, tell her he doesn't deserve one more second, even for revenge, which in the long run really isn't the answer! Make her feel good about herself, give her plenty of encouragement, get out and do things together, be her support system cause she needs you , just be her friend and "No" revenge!

My 2 cents worth is pretty much like everyone else. She should pay the mortgage and keep track of the total she is paying off (so latter in court half of that amount will be credited toward her share of the house) Is he actually divorcing her at this time? If not, I wouldn't file, make him. It will then look like she was waiting for him to get over his mid life crisis affair when he does file. Tell her to start researching what she is entitled to after he files. She should get her name off all joint credit cards. Maybe she can get him to turn over other joint owned assets (sometimes a man will do that if he is feeling guilty) Soon she will see that this is the begining of a better whole new life. Shame on him for not being upfront about all of this before he stepped out the door. It will take her a little time to adjust, this is normal. Believe me her husband did not decide to do this in a second, he has been plotting it for some time.

The best thing that she can do is take care of herself and if and when she runs into him is to smile and pretend that shes happy and that he did her a favor by leaving that will then put something on his mind he will wonder what the hells going on because he will assume that shes moping around still weeping over him also a make over is a good start it's what I did after my divorce I started to focus more on me and what I needed and realized that I didnt need the headache I had so he did me a favor.Taking care of her and focusing on her needs and looking alot better than she ever did when they were together is enough revenge right there.

Why waist time on Revenge. Life is to short. Your friend should find something in life that will make her happy. She should do things she has always wanted to do and has not found the time to do them. Hate will take so much out of a person. Don't waist all that on Hate.

Did he leave her because she was a racist? Would it have been better if he had cheated with someone of the same ethnicity as her? Why worry about revenge? Cheaters always get what they deserve. Ignore him and find a decent man that will be the best revenge. When she see him act as if she barely remembers him that always kills a mans ego. If you see his whore be nice to her act as if she did you a favor she will start thinking something is wrong with him.

Revenge? The husband is a jerk. She should take comfort in that.
I would think that after thirty years she would have found out about this earlier. If she is truly a vengeful person she should remember that revenge is a "dish best served cold".

The best revenge is to live her life without bitterness or hatred in her heart. She needs to realize that she is BETTER OFF without him and just find joy in the fact that one day he will do the same thing to the woman he's living with now. Tell her to go do all of the things she's always wanted to and to have fun doing it. Most importantly...Never look back.

Her best revenge is to be happy and forget about him. That will be the longest lasting. That...or ...ahhh.. Hide a raw shrimp under the carpet of the back seat of his car. That's always a giggle, but harmless, too. He'll spend weeks looking for the horrible smell.

Her best revenge would be to move on with her life and be happy. If she is obsessed with hurting her husband she will only continue to live in misery. There is a big world out there and he probably did her a big favor in leaving.
