A nightclub is a business and the purpose of any business is to show as much profit as possible and the entertainment industry is very lucrative. As long as the people who go to nightclubs pay the requested prices it'll stay the same expensive-for no need to lower the prices. If you had a business that was making good money and although there was some grumbling conc. the high cost but all still paying would you voluntarily lower your prices and lose money-of course not. Unless boycotts occur that seriously affect the profit no change will occur.

i heard this thing saying that everything about nightclubs is designed to perpetuate spending. the music is so loud all over the club so that people can't talk as much and so drink more. they sell bottles not pints only because they cost less to buy and can be sold for more. they keep the heating up so you have to use the cloakroom (and pay) and drink more to cool down.
also, its an illusion of privilege. expensive without the quality. like paying 4 times the price of a car for the same car with sat nav in it or something. anyway.

Yep. Why settle for a 10 dollar beer when you can grab a 25 dollar cocktail? Depressing right? How do you survive on dates, Tom?

because you are going to have a good time so you want to drink, right?
well beers are way expensive and dont even get started on the mixed drinks....they know you will spend that money to get you drunk and that hot girl over in the corner

Because you dance and sweat and get thirsty and they know that you are not going to leave the club to get a drink so they have the ability to charge ridiculously high prices. Supply and demand my friend. America is built on it.

Hi Tom from my space. Everything is more expensive nowadays and I mean everything.

because they know that you will get thirsty while your dancing and hanging out. They also know that when people go to night clubs they come to have a good time and that is where alcohol comes in. They know that you will pay the price to have a good time.
