Gravity!

The earth moves in orbit around the sun due to gravity. The sun pulls the earth towards it and other planets, stars, etc. pull the earth towards it. It is all a very delicate balance. we don't feel it because of gravity. Gravity keeps us on the ground and the earth is so big that even moving at very fast speeds we do not feel it. Again, it is a perfect, delicate balance. Too much gravity would push us towards the earth. Too little and we would float alittle bit.

All these factors work together to move the planets and keep us on the ground.

Also gravity is holding us down and we are "part of" the eath since we are attatched. Ask yourself this, When u are travelling at constant velocity in a car, do you feel yourself moving if you were blindfolded?
