Today the fastest shot is clocked around 100 mph.
Bobby Hull's slapshot was measured at 120 mph. I believe his wristshot was around 105. This was 30ish years ago with heavy sticks.
Imagine what he could do with the one-piece sticks today.
Hull gets my vote.

If you're talking about pure strength, no one can hold a candle to Georges Laraque. Absolutely the most intimidating player in the NHL.

if you mean fighter, my favourite ever was Chris Nilan. today i would say Peter Werrell. as player Guy Lapoint back in the day, and Scott Stevens but he just retired, but today i would say maybe Dion Phaneuf from Calgary he is going to be another Scott Stevens.

Scott Stevens of the past.
Right now it's Georges Laraque. Very intimidating and I wouldn't want to fight him in the ice.
