do the whites first (if you have any)
put the selector knob to "Regular". Turn the knob to just a bit from the off posistion it probably is in.
the washer should start to fill with water.
THere should also be a knob that lets you select
how much water you need. put it on regular or large.
if you waste a little water it's no big deal right now. Put your clothes in the washer ONE AT A TIME.
try to arrange them evenly in a circle in the tub.
(don't put them all on one side in a clump)
There may be a control that sas cold/cold warm/warm and hot/cold. turn it to cold cold.
Water should be coming into the tub. if not the knob that you first turned may not be turned far enough.
it should be on something like 14 or 12 (this is wash time in minutes)
also some machines, THAT knob can be pushed in and pulled out which will turn on or off the machine.
one way or the other water should start coming into the machine.
AFTER the water gets up lets say halfway.
measure out about 1/4 of a small coffee cup of liquid detergent. This may not be the perfect measure
but it will get you thru this.
pour the soap into the tub, about where the water is filling it up at.
CLOSE THE LID. Some washers will not wash and none will spin if the lid is up (safety)..
in about 30 minutes or so it will be done. The knob you turned will be at the off posistion again.
Open the lid and put clothes in the dryer'
turn the dryer knob to 50 minutes.
if you have a heat control turn it to hot or high.
Close the dryer door.
Most dryers have a small knob on the right that you PUSH in (it doesn't stay in) to start the dryer.
In 50 minutes it should be finished. If the clothes
are still a little damp. turn the timer knob to 10 minutes and do it again.
THe dryer will stop if you open the door early.
If you do, shut the door and push the start knob again............

Yes, for tshirts, just put the like colors in together. Read the directions on the back of the detergent (usually you can use the cap as a measuring device) To be safest I would turn the dial to Permanent Press or Normal. You may also need to choose the water level - this is dependent on how many clothes you put in. You should NOT pack them in. They need room to agitate. When it comes to drying, most dryers have an automatic sensor that will shut it off, or you can just hang your shirts to dry. Don't leave them in the washer too long after they are done or they will be terribly wrinked. (If that happens, dry them as above, then get some Downy Wrinkle Releaser to spray on- read the directions on the bottle. I wouldn't mess with an iron if I were you.
Good Luck.

Whites ( whites only) I wash in hot water with detergents and about 1/2 to 1 cup bleach . Lights I wash I warm and darks on cold.....I always wash the whites first so that there is no bleach left in the washer when I get to the darks....also, I dry heavy things like towels and comforters on high, everyday clothes and jeans on medium and delicate and darks on low. Also I dry the darks and delicates until they are mostly dry and take them out of the dryer and hang them right away so they dont wrinkle

Turn your shirts inside out, this will help keep them from fading. Place the light ones in the washer using only cold water and add a capful of detergent. turn on machine, you may have a push and pull dial that turns it on so put the setting to delicate/knit. When finished place in dryer, dry on air dry/delicate when they are finished pull them out immediatley and place them on a hangar so I don't have to explain the concepts of ironing. Repeat with the color shirts.
