easy ... smile nod alot .. agree with others say .. but getting out of ur shell has consequences .. it will make u exposed .. maybe u will get hurt .. but if u r not tough enough .. then u better keep ur delicate wings 4 a clear day with a light summer breeze .. dont fly in the storm .. u might lose them n can never fly again

Just think there is less people in the group... Imagene only a few friends are around you (let's say just 3 or 4) and ignore the rest and act like yourself... little by little you will see the improvement in the letting yourself out of your shell.

When you are at a party, start a conversation about something you know a lot about, that way you are super comfortable. You will be able to then branch out into other areas like: different topics, talking to new people, maybe even dancing or jokes

I know, I am the same way. I think it is called social anxiety disorder. Just try and focus on one person. It helps me when I have a friend that I know well with me. Then I can talk to them. It takes your mind off of the big crowd.

Bring a close friend that is more outgoing then you that you can depend on and trust. He or she can be your support during those difficult or awkward times of shyness when you are meeting new people.

My daughter has the same problem, so she just hangs out with her friends in smaller groups (under 7people) and she does just fine.

Try to remember that over half the people there feel the same way you do. That may help.
