Good question. Saddam Hussein is the only current leader (by current I mean in my lifetime) who I can name.

Would make sense though.

Maybe they used to, but with cameras pointed at them all the time now, it would be too easy to spot a fake.

Maybe they should. Impersonators might be able to do a better job of keeping "agendas" out of it.

I don't think any of the U.S. politicians use doppelgangers, but Saddam did. He had three I think.

i don't think so. there is too much electronic coverage, too much detailed photography to fool anyone these days.
