When I started to use my air conditioning, I noticed that steam would come out of the air vents. We found the tube was plugged. Now, steam will still come with A/C, and water still drips out. But, this just is not with the A/C. Whenever I use the defrost or any of the cooling/heating system, I still get a noise like cold water touching a hot frying pan. Any thoughts?

The A/C condenser's drain line is still partly plugged. If working correctly, the condensation water should exit the vehicle and drain onto the ground below the car.

The heater core has a hole in it. It is what heats the air when you turn the vehicle's heater on. It looks like a minauture radiator and circulates engine coolant through it and then it returns to the engine. This explains why it is so hot. It can be a pretty difficult job to replace on some cars, others it is really no problem.

Underneath your dash is whats called a heater core. It looks like a small radiator. it or one of the hoses leading to it has a small leak. after the engine gets warmed up the water has pressure on it and sprays out thru the pin hole. since the A/C or heater fan blows air over it, it will force the mist out thru the vents.

It is important to check your water level DAILY
becuase this is cooling water that cools your engine also.
Get it to a repair shop REAL soon.

If you can't afford to get it totally repaired, a mechanic can block off the water lines going to the heater core. But you won't have heat this winter.

It sounds like you might have a bad heater core. It may be best to take it to a reputable auto technician and have it checked out.
