if you have a camera that supports fire wire that is the best if not you need a capture device. Pinnacle Systems Dazzle DVD is a good starter setup but not if you are wanting professional work. Basically both work the same way, you play the video and the devices encode the movie into mpg format. Then you can edit the movies with a number of video editing software.
One other idea and this is the one I use, if you have a TV top DVD burner, you can use it to capture the video and then rip the DVD to the PC. This way you can store the original for future use.

When you bought the video camera you should of gotton a lead that connects it to the computer, either a firewire(fast) or a usb(slower). Here you can just plug it in and then click on the camera in my computer and it should open a file and you can copy it into my documents, then u can use a software for example Microsoft movie maker and there are other free 1s about or you can buy some real good 1s, like Adobe premier

you need to have a usb for the camera you plug the camera into your computer thought usb then you upload it video file into Window Movie Maker where you can add titles and music

There are many ways. But first you need a firewire cable. If your computer has a firewire connection. It could be complicated.

ouch that sucks....um, usually you have to use a firewire, but if you dont have that dont be suprised because most comps dont come w/ it standard.... usually you have to buy an additional piece of hardware, sorry.
go to radio shack, the guyll tell u what u need
