Wouldn't it be cool, just sit back in my lazy boy with a bible in one hand, a porn mag in the other while the gov. that I voted for takes away my freedoms, but I will never doubt them because that would be un-patriotic.

Or you could get off Yahoo! Answers and get your butt out in the real world and try to bring about change instead of whining about it.

Hate ultra-right wing republicans? How many democrats have you voted for? How many political rallies have you attended? How many campaigns have you volunteered for? How many people have you tried to convince of your ideas with DEBATES, not arguments, insults, or stereotypes?

If the answer is 0 to any of those questions, then you have 0 right to complain about America or Americans.

This is the beauty of america, you can be a front runner and support rediculous regimes and people will love you for it. The problem is that these people are most likely voting against their own objectives in an attempt to be part of a party that no longer holds their values as close as they believe. This brings about a problem that is the attention deficite disorder of america as very few actually have the info that they need to make appropriate descisions and the mechanism for makin them is antiquated. There for it should be the responsibility of all americans to ask for a truly referendum system so that we can vote within a proper time frame on the issue before it becomes stale and no one cares.

As for un-patriotic it is the repugnikkanz who don't understand that the fact is the system was designed to have a group of dissenters while a regime has a hold so that they are checked, this what watchdogism is about even though it is not striclty enough enforeced

Naw, just stick to standing on the street corner with your glossy protest signs, protesting the "Cause of the Week (weak)", and spewing hate filled tripe about things you know nothing about while waiting for either the trust fund check or the welfare check to come in.

PROUD LIFE MEMBER OF THE NRA, and I've never looked at a porn magazine, nor do I own a Lazy-boy and by being a member of the NRA, I fight to KEEP freedoms. If we didn't have the 2nd Ammendment, we wouldn't have the First..

I work, therefore I am conservative.

Being conservative is not about being religious, it's about having good standards, morals, and keeping society on the right track.

Conservatives should be upset about any breach of the constitution because it would be in their nature to uphold the principles of the founding fathers and others who helped build this country.

As far as the magazine goes, a conservative that respects women, himself/herself, and realizes the effect upon children and families would not buy the magazines.

Well it seems to Me the only ones that are in favor of limiting individual rights are the extreme left and right , they seam to want to pick and chose what rights are excitable. And they are easily identifiable by there degradation of the other. As a independent libertarian and a gun owner, I find the aforementioned groupes using gun ownership as a mines to tag someone a conservative as a sadly misinformed individual.
