Roy G Biv is just a way to remember the colors of a rainbow. Red Orange Yellow Green Blue Indigo Violet. I learned it in elementary and will never forget.

Strangely enough, there is actually a Roy G. Bov, who lives in eastern Oregon. There was a story a few years ago about him, since people would do searches for this to find the color spectrum (as many other answers said: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet) and instead found this guy. He has since changed to an unlisted number because of all the prank calls and genuinely clueless people who would contact him.
The kicker of this story, that makes it so hillarious, is that this Roy guy was COLOR BLIND!!!!!!
