rahul got more trest win ( on the basis of his inning) and much more average than sachin
I JUST DON'T understand how he can be called a tortoise when he is faster than schin.
i guess sachin is tortoise and rahul is hare :::: as sachin got less avergage , sachin got more age, sachin got more sheild( of fans and media),
where as rahul look liek a hare, its hard to get him off his job once he start , he can dig deep , he is quicker and better fielder ,

No, both have damn different style of batting, I think you are trying to taunt the way Rahul makes his runs, I am a Pakistani but the only Indian batsman that really fascinates me is Rahul, I know people who likes to see the ball been beaten badly dont like to see Rahul for long at the crease, by ohh God, he is really a "Wall"
And as far as Sachin is concerned he can play in all three gears.
So there is no comparison between the two, and to say Rahul a "totoise" its really unfair.

slow and steady wins the race is the moral of the firest part of the story but the actual thing is that sloW and steady always losses moreover sun is sun and even if moon shines 10 times more brightly than what it does still is to be called as MOON only v cannot call it as sun. In the same way no matter rahul makes more runs than sachin it cannot b said that he has overtaken sachin-the greatest player of all times... undersoood!!!!!!!

Rahul cannot be compared to a tortoise by any stretch of imagination. He is the most technically sound and most respected batsman in the current era. Sachin was great. But he has passed his prime. Many test cricketers have strike rates of around 45. Nowadays you see so many guys playing swashbuckling cricket that guys who score at SR of 45 seem very slow. But how many of these fast scorers are as consistent as Dravid? A few Aussies like Gilchrist and Hayden , maybe. Aslo consider the number of match-winning and match-saving knocks that Dravid has played. I think it would only be befitting if he overtook Sachin.

Comparing Sachin to Hare and Rahul to Tortoise is silly.
Try to ask sensible questions.

s u would have heard about the saying that"slow and steady wins the race"this saying matches to this question.i am not degrading sachin, its the style of rahul to play slowly and steadily,he would have not expected this acheivement,he is doing his duty.and we should not forget that rahul's career started
from test matches, only later on he entered into one day.that is not the case of sachin and we people dont like if he plays slowly as dravid.and withstanding is more important scoring in test.

you can say, but better re-write that statement
Original, "slow and steady wins the race"
Modified, "slow and constant wins hte race."
rahul dravid, the now captain of India is a constant guy and he's average tells that. he is a great guy and a defensive player. sachin tendulkar was out, first with a tennis elbow for 12 months and then for 3 months missing that vital india's hosting series against eng

The stated statement shall go againt Mr. Dravid he has worked for his runs and if sachin is left behind its just just because he lost a lot of his playing days because of his injury when he was in his prime form both are equally gems in there own styles
