Lime/scale remover are acidic. So what you have done is create a metal hydride(the black). If it is a porcelain sink it should wear away in a few years(or you could use dilute muric acid to dissolve it but will probably take the finish off the sink) If it is a "stainless steel" sink,(it wasn't really stainless now was it) then the stainless coating is gone(it was a cheap sink) it should wear off.Or you can replace it.on big deal.

I'm assuming it's a "stainless steel sink"... I would suggest srubbing with an abrasive pad and clensor (such as comet) if that doesn't remove the black - you might try your original bleach. These are just suggestions - I've never heard of this as I use lime remover in my sink quite often and have never had this problem.

Unfortunately i think u may have to buy a new sink. what colour was it before? if it was stainless steel then u have caused an irreversable chemical reaction.

Well I used c-bang on sink and unit runners (stainless steel) and it stripped the surface off and wrecked them!

And that was supposedly meant for them!

I would use cif spray and leave it for a good ten minutes , then scrub off with a stiff brush and lots of cold water. if its not all gone try again.
