I think they do need to be noticed, but they do it through sports, conversations, throwing out what kind of career they have, how many girls/what kind of girls they've been with, etc.

Trust me, they need to be noticed... you can tell they sometimes begin to sulk if you begin a busy workout/diet regiment, pursue a hobby that requires you to spend more time away from them, spend more time with friends.

But I find that their idea of attention or being noticed is different - they want us to be there in the room, while they play computer or video games. Or to listen to them while they speculate on things that matter to them, maybe politics or movies, sports, video games, etc. They seem to enjoy an audience or a presence more, and when it's not there, that's when they notice.

For women, I think most would agree that a heart beat in the room doesn't constitute as having the attention or notice of the other. They need back and forth conversation (or on top of eachother, if you ever notice that most don't mind interrupting and reinterrupting during the discussion) or physical attention, i.e. EYE CONTACT, hugs, massages, on and on, you get the picture.

That being said, most girls aren't unreasonable. They don't expect every second of the day for the guy to fawn all over them, they just want to know that they rank higher than a box of electronic parts. It feels really good to be hugged and kissed. It doesn't feel very good if a guy doesn't ever do any of these things, well, unless he wants something from it.

As for the reason, why? Well if you're a religious person, you're probably familiar with Gen 3:16...

Women have been that way since little girls and men since they were little boys.I guess It's somewhat a gender thing. Mostly young men 15-25 wanted to be noticed and women 15-60 like a kind word about them now and then to feel validated as a woman. Some people are starved for attention while others do not want any attention drawn to them. Just be noticed is quite different.

Who told you that me didn't need to be noticed? Everyone wants to be noticed and though of favorably by others......why do you think people buy giant SUV's and stuff? Most often, guys want to be noticed for what they have in possessions (expensive car, gadgets, trophy wife, etc) and more ofetn women want to be noticed for their looks (why do you think women dress so sexy). Some people measure their worth in what others think. Others don't. You apparently don't. You must have a great deal of self esteem. Not everyone does. Does this answer your question?

Don't be delusional here. Not all women crave attention and there are plenty of male attention whores too.
