I absolutely love Lemony Snicket. I like the way he has sarcasm and irony in his books. Also it's awesome how he uses hard words and then defines then. Go LS!

I have several, but the first ones that come to mind are Ender's Game (Orson Scott Card) because it's very intelligent sci-fi and you really get attached to the character.

The Lions of Al-Rassan (Guy Gavriel Kay) because it is fantasy without mythical characters or magic...just really great characters and very complex plotline/relationships.

The Last of the Mohicans (James Fenimore Cooper) because it's so different from the movie (which i also loved) and the action scenes are unlike anything I've read (except maybe in Jack Whyte's books)...so real and gripping.

There are author's that I could read anything of theirs and love it...Guy Gavriel Kay, Thomas Hardy, Orson Scott Card, Neil Gaiman, Oscar Wilde

P.S. I don't think it's very cool to like books because you were told they're good.

King Fortis the Brave. It's about a pair of twins that are pulled into a magical world and get caught up in a battle for control of the land. It's full of humor and adventure and one of my favorite books.
