Best - while doing and exchange program in the UK is would generally eventually ask "do you like my accent?" (I'm Canadian). It was an impressively effective line.

I had a guy who tryed everything to get me to dance in abar and finally he came up and got down on one knee and looked me in the eye and said " If kisses were snow flakes , I'd send you a blizzard" (well it was a snow stormy night in Northern Ontairo, canada) .
