Buying books is the best way to learn C++ apart from going to school. The stuff on the Internet is not nearly as good as what you'll find in a decent book. If you can't afford to buy many books, but you have a decent Internet connection, you might consider joining the ACM. You can get access to a bunch of ebooks with your membership. For myself, I prefer paper books, but ebooks are cheaper. You can read about joining the ACM here: http://www.acm.org/ But it might cost you more than it cost me, because I am a college student. Good luck!

Do a search on "C tutorial" There are several sites that have info. Also, now that I think of it, search on "Cram Session" I think they have some programming tutorials.
