Since I moved from Mississippi to Maryland, I have had dandruff. It gets worse when I sweat a lot (esp. at night). I have large flakes and when they are removed, the area is red. I have tried different shampoos (cheap stuff, Herbal Essance, Tea tree shampoo from salon, etc), but nothing is helping. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. This has only started since we moved. It is mainly in the front of my scalp above my face and in the back of my scalp right above my back.

If it is Dandruff, use a Dandruff Shampoo like Selsun Blue . If you have flaking from a dry scalp and not dandruff, use a moisturizer for your scalp. You may just need a scalp treatment.

I have the same problem and it sounds really more like dry scalp than dandruff. But use Neutrogena T-Gel daily control dandruff shampoo. I went to the doctor about mine and he said it was dry scalp but this stuff helps because it is so moisturizing and it does not weigh your hair down. After about two uses it will make you a very happy person. Good luck. The just use it once a week:)

Do you have allergies? You might want to try T-Gel. It seems to work effectively. You also might want to see a doctor because a friend of mine's grandmother had similar symptoms thinking it was dandruff when in fact it was ringworms. You might need an antibiotic.
