I am conservative and modern. Why, you ask? Simple.

In my youth, I was liberal, because I had a heart.

Today, I am conservative, because I have a brain.

Does that do it for you?

Isn't it possible that a certain breed of political "conservative" is actually the wave of the future?

A global free-market economy is where things are heading. Liberals who try to slow it down with laws and tariffs are the real "conservatives" – on those issues, at least.

The dichotomy you're looking for is "conservative" vs. "liberal." I'm a modern conservative.

I guess I would say that I am conservative because I am not very materialistic which probably resolves from never being around alot of financial means

I'm a liberal because I care about my fellow humans regardless of social standing, sex, race, creed. I care about my planet's well-being and I care for animals.
