I am conservative and modern. Why, you ask? Simple.
In my youth, I was liberal, because I had a heart.
Today, I am conservative, because I have a brain.
Does that do it for you?

Isn't it possible that a certain breed of political "conservative" is actually the wave of the future?
A global free-market economy is where things are heading. Liberals who try to slow it down with laws and tariffs are the real "conservatives" –Â on those issues, at least.

The dichotomy you're looking for is "conservative" vs. "liberal." I'm a modern conservative.

I guess I would say that I am conservative because I am not very materialistic which probably resolves from never being around alot of financial means

I'm a liberal because I care about my fellow humans regardless of social standing, sex, race, creed. I care about my planet's well-being and I care for animals.
