first off, cosmetic brands.. any company that has products that go onto the stratum corneum up to the epidermis only.. thus, the biggest names are..
1. Avon
2. Estee Lauder(owns clinique, mac, aveda, origins,, bobbi brown..etc)
3. Mary Kay
4.L'Oreal (who owns lancome, maybelline, garnier, body shop)
5.P&G (intl), Unilever, J&J (owns gilette) i think thats pretty much it...

hi :) My generic cosmetics manufacturers are.. a million. MAC - Infallible. fantastic products, surprising fee for money, perfection. 2. NARS - eye-catching foundations and eyeshadows. high priced, yet nicely well worth the money you pay. 3. Shu Uemura - surprising eyeshadows and fake lashes! intense high quality. 4. income - completely unique sort, nicely priced and cute products. 5. Lancome - the main suitable sort for Mascara.
