So I went swimming 3 days ago and had no problem. But last night, I cleaned my right ear with a q-tip and it just clogged up. I can't really hear well out of it. I was wondering if this had anything to do with the swimming, or is it earwax? In any case, any suggestions to clear it?

there are several things you can do:
1. use a product called swimmers ear to dry out ears (i use it everyday after shower)
2. don't use qtips - they often push wax back into ear (exactly what happened to you) and are not recommended
3. theres an over the counter ear wax remover product (but it's about a 5 day regimen)
4. try ear candling to remove excess wax. you can purchase these at health food stores. you have to have another person help you (hold and light the candle)
i've always had problems with my ears and i use the swimmers ear everyday and ear candle every couple of months for smooth sailing.
good luck!

I like the over-the-counter wax removal products like Debrox or Cerumenex. Remove excess wax monthly. For easy-does-it removal, you should use a baby-size ear syringe instead of the bulb syringe that comes with the kit to flush the wax away after using the drops. The adult version uses too much pressure. Or, instead of a syringe, stand under the shower and let warm water flow gently over your ear.

It could be from swimming. If it starts to hurt a little you probably have swimmers ear. To cure this just mix vinegar and rubbing alcohol together and put a few drops in your ear.Avoid swimming.

It could be from the swimming, it could be just allergies or something else. Try a decongestant like plain Sudafed (the little red ones - generic brand is good too.) and it should give you some relief.

If it doesn't or it gets worse or you have pain or fever, see a doctor!!

Try to buy and use the ear cleaning tool kit (about $7/- in Walgreens or Walmart)

You have "swimmer's ear" ear infection. Go to walmart or walgreens & buy Swim Ear & put it in your ear. It knocks it out IMMEDIATELY!

There are little kits you can buy to remove ear wax - they can be a little messy, but effective.
Also, turn your head to one side and jump up and down. I know it sounds rediculous, but it works sometimes.
I know, its so annoying.
Good luck.
