If you like fantasy, try the Harry Potter series.
If you like books that make you think about society and such, try The Great Gatsby, Farenheit 451, The Grapes of Wrath, Anthem, The Crucible, The Scarlet Letter, Animal Farm, (all read in my honors english class ..)
If you are willing to read Christian books, try the Left Behind series. It's an in-depth look at Revelations, with 12 books in the series. Also try Times and Seasons.
I hope I helped! :)

I don't know what you're into, but two authors I'm very fond of are Mercedes Lackey (Magic's Pawn), and Catherine Asaro (The Misted Cliffs). Both of those are fantasy/romance, particularly the later.
If you like classics, I recomend Alexandre Dumas (The Three Musketeers serries) or Jane Eyre.
So far as more contempory fiction is concerned, Jasper Fford's the Eyre Affair is just hysterical; you will be rolling on the floor laughing through most of it. If you enjoy that one, there are two more books in the serries, and they're not particularly long.

Yes I read.
I like 'em a little scary. LOL!
Angels & Demons and The DaVinci Code by Dan Brown
Any book by Stephen King, especially the Dark Tower series.
The Taking, Dragon Tears by Dean Koontz ...have others at home that I haven't read yet.
The Left Behind series is good also.

I LOVE fantasy. I just finished reading the first two books in the Inheritance Trilogy by Christopher Paolini. The first is Eragon and the second is Eldest. Eragon is now a movie that is going to be released in theaters in December. Excellent stuff.
Another author to read is Dean Koonitz. He writes mystery/thrillers. Also very good.

I love to read! I also read any kind of book I can get my hands on! This week I finished reading a book called the Opposite of Chocolate, it is your young adults/women, it was very intriguing. I also finished the Watcher which is for a younger crowd, but written beautifully.
I also really like novels by Kelly Armstrong who writes books about werewolves, witches and vampires. They are interesting, a quick read but geared to adults.
There are tons of great books out there, just go looking!

Yes, I find reading e-books very hard. I can adsorb
much more with real written print on paper.
Try Unintended consequences by John Ross.
the first 100 pages are a bit boring but the rest of the book makes it worthwhile.

Yes, believe me people still read. If you want something to read there are many choices. Are you looking for something to broaden your mind and make you think? Or something to just enjoy?? I'l share with you some of my favourites. Sula by Toni Morrison, anthing by her actually, Harry Potter is awesome to read for anyone of any age, perhaps something heavier like a Gabriel Garcia Marquez, or any of the current writers. Another suggestion, think about what sort of genre you would like to read, and google it, you'll probably find a number of authors you could try out.

I LOVE to read. I read mostly scifi/fantasy books but my two favorite books are regular fiction. the first is Watership Down by Richard Adams, the second is Shantaram by Gregory Davies Roberts (I think thats his name). I you like scifi/fantasy Id recomend Mercedes Lackey books, Orson Scott Card, and maybe Tamora Peirce. Peirce's books are aimed towards teens.

that depends on what type of books you like to read......i like romance novels(not for the sex scenes--and some can get raunchy--but for the love story.....I own a lot of Johanna Lindsey and the most recent books i read were by Nora Roberts 'Key of Light', 'Key of Knowledge', and 'Key of Valor'. it's a trilogy and had me hooked. Another series I like that I thought I wouldn't was written by Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series.....I also like to read Dean Koontz and Stephen King had always been a favorite of mine.....I just love to read......
