Its all genetics man, some got it, some dont, im 6 ft and can throw it down but Ive also witnessed 5'6 guys soar and score, windmills and everything. But to do it? hit the weights and plyometrics are the best things. Dont waist time with expensive stuff like those programs you see everywhere. you'll get there through shear willpower and determination. Lunges, squats, deadlift and abs are your best bets for lifting.. Depth jumps and others are best for plyometrics

There is no height really because short and tall people alike are dunking like crazy, especially these days. I think if you are above 6 feet and can at least grip the ball, u should be pretty close to dunking. I am 6'6", but I dunk my best off misses and stuff. It all depends on your work ethic and genes.

I do not think there is a set height to be about to dunk. Spud Webb was listed as 5'7 and could dunk. Mugsy Bogues was listed as 5'3 and could not dunk. Some people are over 6 feet and cannot dunk. It has to do with genetics partially and your fast twitch fibers in your quads, hamstrings, and calves. But, you can improve your jumping somewhat.

Do jump squats in which you take a deep squat then jump up raising your hands up. That is one repetition. Repeat 15-20 reps for 2 sets. Even if it doesn't significantly help your vertical jump...it will help your rebounding.

It's a misnomer, spudd webb and a few others dunk at the height of 5'6 or so while some 6'6 guys can't touch the rim. It has to do with flight characteristics like takeoff, body mass vs muscle contraction and aero parameters.

It depends on your vertical leap. And that's based on your calf muscles. Nate Robinson and I are the same height (5 feet 8 inches). Nate wins the NBA slam dunk contest and I can't even touch the rim!

theres a lot ifs, but if u have an average vertical leap, then at 6'4 or 6'5, u should be able to dunk. if you can palm the ball, then maybe like 6'3.
