what creeped me out?!
the whole thing how everything ends up connected to each other, and the niccolo violinmaker uses his dead wife's blood to paint the varnish!
the sex scenes were also unnecessary... :)

I love this movie! I just bought it off Amazon about a month ago after having not seen it since it first came out. I really like the way the suspense builds up with the auction scene. The way the violin was painted was pretty eerie too.

Excellent movie that should have received more acclaim. I didn' t think it creepy (in the Ed Gein sense) but the violin maker created a tribute for his wife that lasted through the centuries

I loved that movie - it wasn't creepy at all... I thought it was a beautiful story in how his love for her lived on forever and allowed her, thru the violin, to touch the many lives that it came across in a span of many years.

It's been quite a while....is this with Colm Feore? Yes I liked it a lot.......I should rent it again as my daughters have picked up lessons on violin.

Its a movie about a Violin, how the hell can that freak you out. by the way, i have the real Violin that they are talking about in the film. ha ha ha........
