Yea...especially if she has ever screwed anyone else before. HIV and other STD's are majorly on the rise in the teen population. According to the CDC statistics, 24% of sexually active kids ages 13-24 have HIV and do not know it yet, because they are too afraid to be tested.

Okay, listen up because this is important!

Birth control pills, when properly taken all of the time (this is key) are very effective (but not 100% effective) in preventing pregnancy.

However, they do NOTHING to prevent the transmission of HIV/AIDS or STDs.

So, both you & your partner need to be tested for HIV/AIDS and all STDs PRIOR to having sex without a condom. Then, you need to make a couple of decisions:

1. Do you trust her to faithfully take the pill? If there is any doubt that she is able to take it without fail, or if you think there is any chance she will "forget" to take it in an effort to "trap" you into a relationship, then you must always wear a condom.

2. To you trust her to remain faithful to you? And she has to ask herself the same question. Because if there is any doubt in your mind about her commitment to a monogamous relationship, then you must always wear a condom.

It's a good idea, because you both may have STD's that can be passed to eachother, and the only fool proof way to not get pregnant is to not have sex. I say use a condom and the pill. Better safe than sorry.

The pill is not 100% guaranteed to prevent pregnancy... neither is a condom... the two together though, are pretty damned good.

Besides... a condom will help with the prevention of STD's.

So... if you want 100% guarantee? Use both.

It would be best to. Even birth control pill aren't 100%. There's still a small chance of getting pregnant, especially if she takes antibiotics, or if she ever gets sick with a virus or something(vomiting, diarrhea). These things affects the absorption of the pills. Hope this helps you.

the answer is yes.

The pill is 98% effective, two forms of birth control make it 100%. Plus you really never know if she is not telling the truth about taking the pill.

My wife was on the pill and we didn't use condoms

The pill is 99.9% effective against pregnancy. However, it is 0% effective against HIV/AIDS and other STD's.

If either of you have had sex with anyone else and have not been tested, it wouldn't be a bad idea.

But generally, no. You don't need to use a condom.
