I wouldnt say they would for sure be out but t would make it very hard for them. They would pretty much have to win their division because the White Sox are on a tear and Detroit would have a huge lead after s sweep. It would be near immpossible to comeback unless the other teams in contention fell off hard. However, this is the team that came back down 3-0 against the Yankees.

Well there is still along way to go and the yanks could lose also... But the probability is yes. Dont forget the Yankees play the red sox next if the sox sweep there then ... They could be back in first place.

I may be a Yankees fan, but I'm not stupid. Even if they get swept they're still a very talented team and always a threat at the end of the season. Will definitely be cheering for the Tigers the next couple days though!

I hope the Tigers sweep Boston. But even if they do there's still over a month of baseball left and anything can happen. No, Boston won't get knocked out if swept by Detroit.

There are still 6 weeks left in the season.
I believe Boston can (and will) take the East, while the evil empire (yankmes) gets vanquished in October.

your an idiot and i want to hurt you very badly.its august people come on.in baseball anything can happen, Yankees could start losing, blue jays could catch up, tigers could win the world series.that's what is so fun about this game its unpredictable.if you are a loyal fan such as myself then whatever happens come October you deal with it.
