It's hard to say why people are so petty. They probably have nothing better to do. I have been reported once for asking a non offensive question and my question was deleted for no good reason. I wouldn't have reported your question.

1) People with no lives (such as myself) spend a lot of time on Yahoo Answers. Many people with no lives lack proper social skills, or have been shunned by society for being immature, uptight, or petty.
2) No, all of my reported questions are offensive.
3) Yes. This question breaks two rules: First, it is a question about avatars, which have no useful purpose anyway. second, it sounds like a dating question, as if you were trying to use Yahoo Questions as a singles site. Yahoo has their own Personals section, where for a small monthly fee you can post a singles ad for your avatar. Surely, they would be unhappy if you used this free forum for questions and answers to get a digital man for your digital avatar instead of doing so through the personals service.

People are petty because they are human, also because things can be taken differently when read then if spoken with facial expressions so miscommunications happen far too often. No ive never been reported. and no you shouldnt have been but its a really lame idea for a boyfriend for you avatar, are you that insecure that you need an online makebeleiv boyfriend?

1.) because that's how people are in their everyday lives and it just spills over onto here.

3.) Yes - not because i think it is a bad question but because it's in the rules to not ask that kind of thing and everyone knows it. We don't have to agree with the rules but we have to follow them or accept the consequences. And if you don't agree with the rules - write to yahoo and suggest they remove that one. Lots of people are making suggestions and they are taking those suggestions seriously. Look how many changes they have had in the last few weeks. So make the suggestion - even if it doesn't work at least you tried.
