You asked so here it is. (take this info as a fable if it helps)
Yes it existed. It consisted of Islands. The two main ones were called Undal and Unal. They ceased to exist about 12,500 years ago in a man caused destructive event.
No need to search for the Islands themselves, however the information about them is out there if you know were to look and you are at a certain level of consciousness

It's unlikely that we'll ever discover Atlantis. It's possible that Atlantis, at one time, did exist. Nearly every society has a story about a pre-historic civilization. As far as its location, there are numerous possible locations: the Atlantic, the Indian Ocean, and even the Carribeans have been suggested as possible locations. Hope I helped.

It was destroyed in the last great flood, but it existed in a landmass between africa and north america. Remnants of Atlantis and some other civilizations took underground and are alive and well to this day. Check out Marshall Gardners book Have the poles been discovered a journey to the earths interior

And learn about...
Robert Sarmast is a writer and explorer who has traveled the world in search of clues for solving some of the world’s most enduring mysteries. His research over the last fifteen years has targeted the location of Atlantis and uncovered groundbreaking evidence first reported in his book Discovery of Atlantis: The Startling Case for the Island of Cyprus, published in 2003, and now updated in this expanded edition.
In 2004 he founded First Source Enterprises, LLC, to promote more extensive research in this area, which led to the world's first scientific Atlantis expedition and yielded sufficient evidence to ignite a global sensation. He is the leader of the Cyprus-Atlantis Project and currently resides on the island of Cyprus where he is organizing a second underwater expedition that will include a documentary film series about this extraordinary discovery

I remember seeing a special on the history or discovery channel and they suggested that it was located around the island of Crete. The reasoning is that the Minoan civilization occupied an area close to this and did a considerable amount of trading with the Egyptians. The Egyptians documented at one time a catastrophic event to which the Minoans were almost wiped out and this maybe the start of the legend. Plato who revived this idea got this information from fellow Greeks who traded and conversed with the Egyptians about such a catastrophic event. So it is possible, that there is some truth to it.

Plato described in 350 BC an island near Greece and it went under waves. A team of experts believe it to be located just west of the Straits of Gibraltor and are making plans for next July. This is has long been viewed as a Myth by many, but to others a fact due to such detail given by Plato and location. Trying to find it and if indeed they do, will certainly prove that there was an advanced civilization.....way ahead of its time.

Atlantis is a silly myth. The ancient greeks invented atlantis, and called it a Continent before they had even discovered what a Continent was. They thought that Spain was the Continent of Europe, and Turkey was the continent of Asia. They thought that the north coast of africa, up to about ten miles inland was a long islandy strip of continent.
Atlantis was then called a "Continent" and placed.. according to theory... west of the straights of Gibraltar. The only Continent west of the Straits of Gibraltar is America.
Atlantis was said to be made of concentric circles of land and sea, making it a continent shaped like a target.
Atlantis is a myth.
