I'm a black woman married to a Vietnamese/White man who looks primarily white. We have a beautiful 7mo old daughter.

Now to answer your question: Yes, I think some of us do. My man and I have patronized several predominately black lounges (upscale, mind you - lawyers, doctors, etc.) and we are the center of attention from the moment we arrive until the moment we leave. Sometimes the waitresses are rude and most of the time, the guys are giving me dirty looks like i've abandoned my race and the black girls look at me to see why he's with me. Of course, they don't have to look twice to figure it out. : )

Now, I grew up in Detroit with 99% blacks but now live in a suburb with 99% whites. Strange thing is, we've been accepted more by our white friends than black ones. So strange. But I guess a lot of blacks still can't get over the whole Jim Crow/slavery era.

It's even worse with the hip/hop (i.e. dreadlock community). They look at me like a disgrace.

Overall, we don't care because we're too highly attractive, extremely down to earth, financially stable good people and no one can really say much without sounding ignorant.

So, they can hate all they want. Me and my lovely man will still make love daily, raise our daughter with unconditional love and continue to ride out life.

: )

First of all "b" is an idiot.
Second of all, racism comes from over-generalizing about a certain group of people. In your question you are asking us to generalize blacks' feelings, as if they all feel the same. Open minded people come in all colors. Racists come in all colors. and those who have a problem with interracial relationships but are not otherwise racists come in all colors.
I would have to say that many blacks have no problem with interracial couples while some do. I agree with a previous answer that black women seem to have more of a problem with it then black men, but I don't think it matters to them if the women is the black or the non-black.

I guess it depends on the person. I am white and dating a black man. Some people are very obvious about their opinions of it. Others not so obvious. It doesn't matter where we go we get looks from people and black and white. As far as I am concerned our relationship is something of our own, and people can think what they want to think. Other people's opinions have no bearing on my relationship.

Yes, in fact just as often as white people. Typically, white men tend to get upset when they see a "white girl with a black guy" while black men tend to get upset when they see a "black girl with a white guy." You do not see it as much with the women of each race mainly just the guys.

Of course, I am speaking from a man's point of view. Some other posts here claim that the women are as bad as the men on this issue. I haven't seen it myself but I suspect it must be happening for so many responses.

Some do, just as some whites do. Prejudice exists in every race of people. Some are taught prejudice is wrong in any case, some are encouraged to feel that way from childhood and get those teachings reinforced by experiencing prejudice themselves. It has always been and will always be a HUMAN struggle, not just one race's struggle.

Some African American women feel that their men are not showing them proper respect by marring women of other races.I think it shouldn't matter who you fall in love with,it doesn't bother me to see black women with men of any race,as long as they are loved by that man ,respected and treated well, and I feel the same for any and all interracial relationships.

Black women have a problem w/ a black guy dating a white girl because 40% of black women never get married, so it shrinks their "mate pool" even more.

Some yes, some no. Same as hispanics have issues if you marry a hispanic that is not from your own country. It all depends on how you've been raised and how open you are to new ideas.

I think that any race/religion can hold people that would have a problem with it. No matter who it is. I think it is sad, beacuse, if two people are in love then why is it anyone else's business?

If you mean between blacks & whites......yes some do just like whites having a problem with it. Prejudice & discrminiation isn't limited to just one race.
