Well, I haven't heard whether it is helpful in causing scar tissue to go away but studies do show that it may have antioxidant properties that helps protect LDL cholesterol from oxidizing. May also support the healthy function of the arteries themselves. One study showed that menopausal women taking soy protein supplements (rich in isoflavones) experienced a significant improvement in elasticity of their arteries. This elasticity has been shown to decline with age, a change that is viewed as a risk factor for cardiovascular health. Some scientists are predicting that these isoflavone effects may prove to be as valuable in supporting heart-healthy aging as their potential to retain normal cholesterol levels.

The Engergizing Soy Protein supplement that I take has very strict processing requirements which of course makes a big different in its effectiveness. The product I take I definitely feel is very good for me.

Hope this is useful even though it doesn't address your specific question.

Best Wishes

you may want to stay away from the stuff. soy has endocrine disrupters as well as anti-nutrients. it wasn't recognized as food until asians began fermenting it which seems to be the only way it can be digested by humans.
