We get penalized 5 points if we ask a question. But if no one asked any questions, there wouldnt be anything to answer.
Yahoo Answers would shut down. There would be chaos across the land, people holding other people at gunpoint demanding they ask a question! Dogs and cats living together in sin!
I say be PROUD to ask a question.....hold up your question mark flag high and say in one loud voice, "I HAVE A QUESTION!!!"

I've been wondering the same thing..I think they should GIVE 5 points when you do ask a question how else would "yahoo answers" work?

You don't really lose 5 points if you ask a question. Only 2. Cause as soon as you pick a best answer (or it's picked for you by voters) you get 3 points back. It's all about the 2's. So no it doesn't bother me.

we would all be sitting around twiddling our thumbs, looking at a blank screen. wondering in our minds "Where is everyone"? but too afraid to ask.
