Take an old toothbrush and some uncolored rags and dip them in detergent or bleach mixed with water and spot clean them by hand. Make sure the detergent is made for black or dark clothes so it doesn't discolor the fabric. I did it all the time when I wore Vans and it works really well. Also a bleach pen can work wonders for touching up the white parts.

If you dont want to put your Vans in the washer, I suggest the following. Take a nail brush, wet it with some warm water and put some dishwashing liquid on it. Use the brush to clean your Vans, constantly washing out the brush and applying more soap. In order to get your laces clean you'l need to take those out and put then in the washer, and then relace your Vans. I've done this many times to clean my own shoes, I hope that it helps:)

Hand wash. Try a bleaching product on the white part and get a toothbrush with detergent and water for the black part. Buy the stuff meant for dark clothes, it works best.

Go to any 99 cent store and buy this stuff called FABULOSO...it comes in purple and blue (for the different scents), and scrub away with a toothbrush and towel.
My kids used to use this stuff on their white shoes all the time and they looked great!!
Don't use anything with bleach or else it will lighten the black part of the show.
