Whenever you do an assignment of any kind always give the examiner just a little more than what they ask for....
not in word count.. but rather in content.
begin thus:
Project Mulberry by ______ ________ opens with ___(main character)____ then describe something about what the main harater is doing, experiencing at the beginning of the book...
If there is a nemesis to your main character write a paragraph on them...
Give a brief paragraph on the setting of the story both the time and plae the story takes place... is it set over a short period of time or over a long time...
descirbe the main characters weaknesses and strengths and how their nemesis uses these against them... this can be at least one of the problems
describe a situation that created problems for the main character and remember to also include the lesser characters that help the story along.... this is another kind of problem that main character faces.
round off your project by summing up what you think and feel about the story and how it compares with other stories of the same genre...
Consider adding a simple illustration... perhaps a Mulberry Tree..

1. Title of the book
Project Mulberry
2. Author
Linda Sue Park
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linda_Sue_Park
3. Setting
Julia Song and her friend Patrick want to team up to win a blue ribbon at the state fair, but they can't agree on the perfect project. Then
Julia's mother suggests they raise silkworms as she did years ago in Korea. The optimistic twosome quickly realizes that raising silkworms is a lot tougher than they thought. And Julia never suspected that she'd be discussing the fate of her and Patrick's project with Ms. Park, the author of this book!
4. How the story begins and ends.
Julia Song and her friend Patrick would love to win a blue ribbon, maybe even two, at the state fair. They’ve always done projects together, and they work well as a team. This time, though, they’re having trouble coming up with just the right plan. Then Julia’s mother offers a suggestion: They can raise silkworms, as she did when she was a girl in Korea.
Patrick thinks it’s a great idea. Of course there are obstacles—for example, where will they get mulberry leaves, the only thing silkworms eat?—but nothing they can’t handle.
Julia isn’t so sure. The club where kids do their projects is all about traditional American stuff, and raising silkworms just doesn’t fit in. Moreover, the author, Ms. Park, seems determined to make Julia’s life as complicated as possible, no matter how hard Julia tries to talk her out of it.
In her first novel with a contemporary setting, Linda Sue Park delivers a funny, lively story that illuminates both the process of writing a novel and the meaning of growing up American.
5. Three events that took place in the book.

I haven't read that book, but you could describe strong points you found about the setting, beginning, ending, and events. For example, let's say the author uses some interesting details to make you feel like you are really there. You could list one or two quotes and say something like, "The author portrays the setting in a way that made me ________" or "The author makes the reader feel like the reader is really there because of _________ ." Were you drawn in or interested by the beginning of the book ? If so, why? And if you were satisfied by the ending, why? If not, would you have liked to see an extra chapter written to explain anything that was not explained? The problems the characters face could be considered to be realistic or not realistic, and you can say whether or not the problems were solved in the best way. Good luck.

Read the book, don't get on the computer or hang with your friends. You might find you really like it. You shouldn't have any trouble with those questions, they're pretty basic.
