According to genNext, the children must be taught arrogance, snobbery, lies etc. to be prepared for the tough world and the cut-throat competition.

No child should ever be taught either of those things. It makes for a nasty human being in general. Preparing for a tough world involves a great deal more than thinking your shyt is ice cream and everyone ought to have two scoops. A truly successful person will generally be able to travel in any sphere and get along with just about anyone, no matter their station in life. People who are obviously arrogant and snobbish are simply just not liked by those around them and that can make true success in life a hard and lonely thing to achieve. The world has been tougher in the past than it is now, for quite a few people. The answer has never been to assert yourself in an obnoxious and self-serving manner. Not unless you want to live your life being sneered at by others for your overblown ego. The old saying "You catch more flies with honey than vinegar" really is a true one.

Judging by how rude most people are anymore, they've been teaching that for about 2 or 3 generations now. It sucks, I sometimes feel as if I'm the only one who was raised with any manners.

Its a hard life, and children need to be prepared in certain ways, i believe we have to toughen up our children, especially in the work-force area, its cut-throat and only the strong survive.................

Taught? Seriously? I think every other child learns that perfectly well on their own (I know I did!).
