Of course the Republican party's idea of abolishing abortion would reduce the number of abortions the most. The basic view of the Republican party on this is that the fetus or embryo is a living human being in its early stages and should not be killed. Pro choice people often counter with the fact that many women would still want an abortion, and might resort to the old coathanger method of abortion. Thats why i think that after abortion becomes illegal, there needs to be a penalty set for anyone who has an abortion because it is killing. If someone claims their are inable to support a child, this could be for a number of reasons. They could feel that it would interfere with their school, job, or social life too much. Or it could be for the obvious money problem. In either case, adoption is always an alternative. Yes this would probably cause a sharp increase in the number of children in foster homes, but this would only happen if people still have sex before they are ready. People need to realize that if you put your hand on a hot stove, it will probably hurt. If you have sex, you will probably become pregnant. Also, I would like to add that teen pregnancy HAS NOT GONE DOWN SINCE ROE V. WADE, OR SINCE THE INVENTION OF BIRTH CONTROL!!! That is the most insane thing i have ever heard. Because teens have the backing of always being able to have an abortion, or a sense of security with the birth control, they feel they are able to have sex without any bad coming out of it. Thats why more teens start to have sex, and because condoms work only 80% of the time, more teen pregnancies have resulted from Roe V Wade and the invention of Birth control. I heard someone else say that women are in control of their bodies right now. This is rediculous. They are throwing their bodies around and having sex with whoever is willing. The fact is abortion is killing. You cant get anymore straight than that.

Right now that would have to be the Democratic party since Republicans are spending all of their time and effort on trying to ban abortions and all things sexual. In their efforts, they are trying to get rid of sex education, birth control, family planning, and emergency contraception (EC). All of which are things that actually help reduce the number of abortions sought.

abortions (and teenage pregnancy)have decreased since women have been in control of their bodies (after Roe, and after widespread availability of birth control). The numbers are going down. What's the problem?

Its ironic that the party of self-sufficiency would tell other (self's) that they have to bring more kids into a world of abject poverty and at the same time cut and denies all sorts of social programs...well no its not ironic its disgusting!

I believe in a woman's right to choose.....to choose whether or not to get pregnant. I see pregnancy kind of like jumping off a cliff. You can choose whether or not to jump, but once you do, the decision is pretty much final.

And before Chef Heidi jumps my case, notice I said "choose". If you get raped, you didn't choose anything, now did you?

Democrats.Democrats. Democrats.

-Prohibition only adds to the "taboo" effect.
-We CANNOT in the name of humanity to back to the illegal
abortion trade.Never again.
-Abortion needs to kept out of the alley in a sterile environment
BEFORE we can get to teaching young women what they need to
to avoid the "unwanted prenancy" in the first palce.,
