I felt my baby move at about 18 weeks. It didn't feel like hunger to me - you feel hunger much further up than where you'd feel a baby. It felt like a little bubble popping in my lower abdomen. My husband couldn't feel her move for another month but by then it was full-out thumps
It's really hard to describe - it's a weird feeling. Most first-timers won't feel anything until 16-20 weeks, and it's really something you have to experience a few times before you're sure what it is. Pretty soon you'll wish baby would just stop for 5 minutes and give you some peace!

Everyone is different. It feels like a little flutter at first, but gets more into kicks as the baby grows.....mostly it's around the 4th month - but can vary based on baby size, if the mom is very skinny or if this is not your first. I am sorry to say it might also be gas....it's very common at this stage of pregnancy......Go get a book called " what to expect when you are expecting" by Heidi Murkoff. It's the pregnancy bible and will help with all these questions. Your question as well as many others that you would not expect is in there. It's excellent in describing all of these little things that worry moms and help distinguish when something is "normal" or not.
Good Luck!

I don't remember exactly how far along I was, 3 to 4 months. This was 17 years ago.
But I distinctly remember the first movements I felt. Some people describe it as "butterflies". For me, I felt like an air bubble moving out thru all the layers of the belly. It was a soft and rippling kind of feeling.
Just remember. Believe EVERYTHING you hear. And then remember that your experience could be completely different.
Good Luck!

The first time i could feel him move i think i was about 14 weeks, it was nothing compaired to what i feel now. At first it was like this little brush agianst me and i was like what the heck was that! It was such a small movement but i knew it was my baby. Just wait until you get further along, you'll be like, whoa little one... My son packs a punch already... Good Luck and have fun feeling the baby move, oh and i only felt him move in the very lower part of my uterus.... Hope this helps

Well, I didn't know what I was feeling at the time, but looking back I was about 14 weeks. It felt like a slight bubbling or gurgling in your stomach. I guess a lot of people refer to it as similar to gas. I felt my first kick at around 17 weeks though. I knew exactly what that was though! Enjoy it!!! I miss being pregnant!! It's so much fun feeling your baby move and getting to know him/her before everyone else. It's you two's special time together! :)

I was like 4 or 5 months and i was at work (at a daycare center) and we had just gotten all of the babies to nap. One fell asleep on me with her head on my belly. I was sitting in a "pillow pond" there and was very relaxed then i felt that first flutter in my stomach. It was AMAZING. My daughter was most active once i settled down from being hectic or at the end of the work day.
Being that you're only 12 weeks i doubt its the baby moving. Maybe its just gas.

if it feels like a fluttering sensation, or a pulling sensation, I had that with my daughter when I was about 12 weeks along. I don't know if it was her, but I like to think it was.
Just enjoy the sensation.
And good luck.

During my first pregnancy I felt it around 14 weeks. It felt like someone was lightly poking me from the inside.
