When I have a dream where I'm falling, then I usually wake up instantly. I've even had a dream where I was shot and woke up right after it.
But if I have a dream that the phone is ringing or one where I have to go to the washroom, it just can't seem to wake me up.

Yes all the time. Except if I'm falling I die and there's blankness for about a minute or so then I wake up. I die a lot in my dreams but never wake up instantly.

I get those sometimes, usually when I've fallen back asleep after hitting the snooze button, I'll have some weird car crash dream or something, and then I'll wake up immediately after it's over, and I have just enough time to shower and head out the door to work.

I dream I'm falling like once a month and it wakes me up- I hate that!

I get dreams where I feel like my bed is spinning and I can feel my body moving to the right, sort of making me dizzy, but then I wake up and I am in the same place and my bed isnt spinning. weird..

yep in my dream I was swimming in a near by lake and was drowning and my friends just left me there
