well sunshine soccer/football is the best team game in the world.I DONT believe its a sissy game when you see how many players get ingured playing it some players are out for at least 6 week to a year some dont even return .also do you realize how much practice it takes for the top players to bend the ball the way some of them can now thats pure skill .not like american football were the players wear a suit of armour on the pitch

I would say that a sport that requires as much athleticism as soccer would definitely be called aggressive. It takes a lot of work. There are not too many other sports that require you to be on your feet and running for about 95% of the game. Would these people who say it's not aggressive call football a sissy sport? How about Basketball? At least in Football (American Football) they wear all that protective gear!! You don't see that crap on a soccer field!!

I would say that soccer definitely takes a lot of work

i think soccer has some of the fittest athletes in the world...physically and mentally. they have to be in excellent shape and form...they have to be coordinated, quick...they have to have quick reactions...they have to be in a good mental state for how fast paced the match is played...plus, they have to be able to kick accurately and far (if need be), full sprint down the field, clean tackle, dribble, and do whatever else that needs to be done accurately and in good form. so, it's definitely not sissy, and only aggessive when it needs to be, but it can be played clean. the athletes just have to do a lot in a match.

It's not sissy at all! It takes stamina and determination to beat the other team; to beat the game!
Of course it's agressive, just look at Zidane at the World Cup! If that isn't convincing enough, then I don't know what is!!

When you playing is not sissy sport at all, in the game Croatia vs Brazil , Adriano broke Niko Kovac two ribs, once Mihajlovic hit a player in a wall when he was shooting free kick and he broke his jaw!!! Cisse had double broke of his leg and he is not the only one to suffer this kind of injury!!!If that is not aggressive I don't know what it is!!!!

Have you ever watched a game? You can watch one and form your won opinion but there's no doubt in my mind that it's an aggressive game. Those that say football is a sissy sport clearly are ignorant.

I love soccer, but even at the professional level, I don't think it's extremely aggressive, but yes it's agressive.

The people who've played it knows that it takes work and is very agressive. It also takes thinking because you have to conserve your energy at the right times.

Hmmm - play it without shin pads - it will soon be more than apparent that soccer (filthy American word ..) IS a contact sport - (just ignore the fairy histrionics when Portuguese and Argentinians dive.)
