Since if a runner gets hit with a batted ball, he's out and a live ball that hits the bat and doesn't touch the ground or the wall is able to be caught... then I believe the answer is yes.

No, the ball is immediately dead, if a batted ball hits a baserunner in FAIR territory. Once the batted ball hits the runner, the runner who was hit it out, everyone else gets the base they were going to.
But it is not a double play...as soon as the ball strikes the runner, it's a dead ball.

Correction: I reread the rules and realized I misinterpreted... The ball IS dead once it hits the runner even if it pops up and is caught without ever hitting the ground... It's not a double play. The runner IS out.

No, when the ball hits the base runner that person is out, the ball is dead, and everyone else stays at the base they were going to.

i am an umpire for little league baseball, and the same rule applies for both, if the ball hits the runner the runner is out, but the ball is dead and is not live, and runners can advance to the base that they were going to.

I believe it is. The runner is called for interference and the ball hasn't touched the ground so the batter is out as well.

baseball and kickball have a similiar rule about that any ball in play that touches a runner makes an out no questions asked and if its in the air and cautght by a baseman i do believe that would be a double play
