it all depends on your cell phone company and your specific plan. My cell phone allows me to receive text messages for free, but I must pay 10 cents everytime I send a message. You need to call or go into the store of your particular cell phone company*

it depends on your plan. my cingular plan has free incoming messages and outgoing is .10 per message. some i've seen as .05 for incoming and .10 outgoing and then there are those that have everything include and it's unlimited all the way around.

On verizon, I am completly sure, dont trust anyone else, 10 to receive, and 25 to send.
