Here they send e-mails saying when their average grade goes below 75 ask your school if they have such a program.Talk with her teachers if they don't and ask them if they can call you (don't trust her to bring reports of her grades home) when her grades get below an agreed standard. Whenever you find out they are low ask her why they are low the nagging alone is usually enough for mine to get higher grades barely above the line on some but it works.Ask about tutors for her weaker classes. Take her to an eye doctor and have her eyes examined. Make surprise visits to school or threaten to do so if her grades don't improve the embarassment alone will work sometimes :)

Take her back to India and "disipline" her like parents over there do. It always works, trust me.

Help her set goals to motivate her. Her goals should not be your goals, let her set goals that are important to her, her goals should be specific and she should write them down and post them where she can see them everyday
