What could cause a BP of 121/130. No I didn't get the numbers backwards. My 15 year was scheduled for dental work and naturally the dentist won't work on her with this reading. Could it just be anxiety of the dental visit, and why is systolic fairly normal but dystolic so high? Thanks.

High BP is a silent Killer. In your daughter's case it maybe only
anxiety ,because she will have some dental work done.
But I would go to your doctor to get her checked out,she might has a medical problem.

Its possible but the chances are uncommon. If your friends does have it that can be change by diet. Better eating includes less fry foods, sweets and more vegetables. If thats not the case get a recommendation to get medications to decrease the high blood pressure, I recommend the dieting first. hope this helps

A lot of teens are suffering from high blood pressure nowadays. She might need medication for that, so I would take her to a doctor, if I was you.
