People of all colours, races and religions can be rude, mean-spirited and hateful, just as they can be kind, generous and loving. Just as the one black person was rude, so can their be in white or any other colour. There is good in bad in everyone - every race, colour, creed, religion. There doesn't seem to be a majority or a minority in any of race, creed, colour, religion. Don't let one bitter and ignorant person change your opinions about anyone nor anything. No one should ever feel the pain, hurt and humiliation of being discriminated against. You're young and have a lovely open spirit in not judging and asking others of their thoughts; I hope you stay that way...all the best!

It doesnt matter what race it is , you will always find rude people. It was wrong of your friend to say that black people are ruder than white people. You cant just judge a race off a few of them you have met. In the town I am from the whites a ruder then neone. Of course I kive in a town that has a pretty bad history when it comes to black people. Its changing for the better now. They can actually live here and not get a hard time.
I know how you feel about the whole raciest thing being new to you. I used to have a few Jewish friends, once they found out that I was of German decent, they left me out in the cold. I dont understand why people just cant exsept people for who they are. Its just a race, thats all it is!

In my experience, whether or not people openly display their prejudices depends a lot on their economic level, rather than race. I'm from a working-class background, and I can tell you that the poor white folks I've grown up around were never shy about spouting off whatever hateful thing came into their heads.
You need to ask your friend to consider whether he has encountered a greater number of African-Americans who are from a lower economic and educational level, compared to the social level of the majority of white people he's met. Although, there are more successful African-Americans than ever today, the historical discrimination they have faced has contributed to a higher than average level of poverty in the black community for a long time. More affluent, educated people may not be less prejudiced, they do tend to hide it better.

HI! I would like to answer your question because i am a Pakistani too.
first of all, all blacks are not bad and all white are not good, like 5 fingers of your hand which are not equal.
secondly tell your friend when you are in some body's country it his will how he treats you.
thirdly and most important thing is that some one said it on TV and i quote it "the amount of hard work a south asian puts in while at any western or middle eastern country, the half of it can make him much comfortable while living here."

I've met rude people of EVERY RACE in my time, I've even met some rude Pakistanis and other rude people from Asia. Fortunately I do not label all Asians as rude, because that wouldn't make sense. As a black man I don't always say what ever I want because it may not be appropriate......always engage brain before activating tongue!!

Young lady you have to build up some kind of concrete force field around you so that you can block out the ignorance of some people no matter what their race or origin is. Like the old saying goes. Don't let a few bad apples ruin the basket

there are people of every race who are rude. you can't really say that black people in general are ruder than other races. there are a lot of black people who are very straightforward and won't fake being nice, but i've never heard of an experience like the one your friend had. its definitely not the majority of black people.

It's a shame your friend feels that way. It's not right to generalize based on race or anything else for that matter. He is ignorant and wrong for assuming this about all black people.
You have to decided for yourself, what you think. Hopefully you will not generalize the way he does. Everyone is different despite their race, religion, sex, etc.

well being black myself i do say what i think but always add a little softness, just to let you know your being sort of racist yourself, it's not about race but the people, some people have different views, so in conclusion i don't think black people are ruder.
