Go thru your programs and delete all the ones your not using. Scan for spy ware, trojans and viruses, go to internet options and delete all your temp internet files, cookies ect. check your start up menu and make sure all the programs starting up are only the ones you need. When using a high memory program such as a mmporg or gaming don't run other programs under it. Make sure the inner casing is clean and free of dust which can build up on the mother board and in any fans and cause processing to be slower. Google on the web to find other ways to speed up your computer. Put in another hampster. Defragement your hard drive too that is good!

Reboot it regularly to renew the resources.Perform a regular defragmentation and set your computer to index while it's idle.Running a regular anti spy may help remove malicious ad ware that effects your computers performance.
You should already have Yahoo! anti spy on your tool bar.
Download the Google tool bar for some extra cool software.Don't just keep closing those Microsoft update windows. Many of those updates will improve the performance of your computer.
Don't delete all of your cookies because certain sites do not work properly without them. And if you use the old Yahoo! page deleting your cookies will make the new page come up every time
Rebooting will renew your RAM.Removing unnecessary files from start up will free up resources

You might start with clearing , cookies , history , ofline content, if this doesn't work, try to defrag C Drive, You may need more ram, also , if there are big size programs that are installed that you don't use very much , go to control panel and delete them , some of these programs use ALOT of resource power. You should also , have a good anti-virus program , my pc was running slow , I had a virus ,, just a few suggestions , I hope they help :)

delete everything that you don't need on your computer
like the things that you have not used in about 8 months
delete some of those pictures you have saved on it as well
then reboot your computer

along with that the best solution i can tell you but it does include buying something it is to put memory on it
then your computer will be much faster with both of these ideas

make sure virtual memory is managed by computer and also, see to it that you have a good clear harddrive.. perform regular clearance of the Disk by running Disk Cleanup from Accessories and System Tool in Programs and also, don't install stupid things that have loads of hjidden or built in trojans in htem or cookies you haven't enabled...

I could go on and on and on... only... i'm not the fuking duracell bunny and I don't work for you...
