I agree....as long as that group protect the interest of the people, it will always be viewed as a saviour. In country where the government is helpless to help its people, the people will look to those whom can avenge the mistreatments of outside government. So in a way , the people lost its trust in Lebanon Political Governing Party and regarded Hezbollah as saviors.
The most Ironic picture i saw was of the one where Secretary of State Ms Rice shook the hands of the Prime Minister of Lebanon.
Its because the scenario is this. USA supplied the neccessary arms to Israel while Iran supplied the neccessary arms to Hezbollah to retaliate against Israel. So these two merely feeding fuel to the Fire and chaos.
I think in the Lebanese PM mind is that " Ms Rice seeks to end this chaos but her government just sent a new shipment of Arms to Israel for replenishment via the EU Airport. "
But then again it could just be my own opinion.........

Peace and tolerance is the answer...When Iran stops funding the insurgents and stops fueling the hatreds, peace will come to the Middle East.
The people in the Middle East must solve their own problems, as a collection of bordering states, as a coalition (OPEC) and as an individual state.
In war, everybody looses. Even the price of gasoline is related to the war. When the ceasefire was announced, gasoline went down in price. In a nuclear attack, the surrounding nations would eventually be affected by the winds and water contamination.
In conventional warfare, hatreds are intensified and weapons of war become the norm.
Let everyone lay down their weapons of destruction and lets live in peace.
