If it was bad enough for you to go to the dermatologist....you should probably go back.

I mean didn't you try this otc crap before seeing a doctor? If it didn't work then, it's not going to work now.

Good Luck.

One more thing: Don't over do it with the Oxypads. If you remove too much oil, your body will compensate by over producing oil. My bet, it's a hormonal problem so topical OTC junk will only minimize the acne, not cure it. Drink water. Don't wear make up. Don't excessively clean your face. Don't touch your face during the day (without cause). Clean your pillow cases/sheets. Wash your face once or twice a day. Don't eat junk food.

You MUST wash you face with a facial cleanser EVERY night before bed. Never go to bed with makeup on your face, ever. If your skin is oily when you get up in the morning, put some witch hazel on a cotton ball and clean the oil off. Drink LOTS of water, and stay away from carbonated drinks.

find out what that duac stuff really is. Maybe there is a generic version or maybe you can buy the chemicals yourself somewhere else. Ask the pharmacist maybe. I was prescribed some eardrops last month that cost $95. There was a cheaper version for $25 or so.

Clearasil will dry your face and it's not close to the same thing. You can try proactive. They sell it in the mall and you get a big bottle of it. People swear by it.

my fiancee tried a cream - over the counter - a mild steriod cream (which isnt a recommended place to put it so i'm not gonna tell you what it is) - go to the chemist and ask them for advice - a scheme has now been put into place that chemists can help with mild health problems too - and often work out cheaper

Have you ever tried Proactive? It really does work great. It is $45.00 for a 2 month supply. They also sell something similar to it at Wal-Mart for $18.97 (I think). I haven't tried it yet, but I plan to when I run out of Proactive.
