If I pre-order Madden 07 for XB360 now, will I get it on the 22nd? Or is it back-ordered? Suggestions, please?

Would pre-ordering be the best solution, and with who? Or should I just go to a store in the morning?

you can pre-order with anyone like gamestop or eb games and if you want it the day it comes out you should because it will likely be sold out. If you pre order your gaurenteud a copy.

You should have no problem picking it up on the 22nd regardless if you pre-order it or not. Both Gamestop and EB Games will have midnight openings for the launch of the game, but places like Target and Best Buy should have it when they open in the morning.
